• atropine (Donnatal, and others);
• a fungal antibiotic such as ketoconazole (Nizoral), fluconazole (Diflucan), or itraconazole (Sporanox); or
• rifampin (Rifadin, Rifamate, Rifater);
• clidinium (Quarzan);
• hyoscyamine (Anaspaz, Cystospaz, Levsin, and others);
• propantheline (Pro-Banthine);
• carbamazepine (Tegretol);
• quinidine (Cardioquin, Quinidex, Quinaglute, others);
• dexamethasone (Decadron);
• phenobarbital (Luminal, Solfoton);
• methantheline (Provocholine);
• phenytoin (Dilantin);

Warnings and Precautions about Aricept (Donepezil)

• you are allergic to any ingredient in Aricept or to piperidine derivatives (e.g., cyproheptadine).

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Important :

• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Aricept while you are pregnant.
